Holiday arrangements for National Day and Chinese Mid-Autumn Festival 2010

It is well known that there are two golden week in China mainland. One is from May 1st to May 7th, another is from Oct 1st to Oct 7th. In that time most of the office workers can have a 7-day holiday.

And there is a new policy comes these years says that during the Chinese Traditional Festivals, people can have a 3-day holiday. These traditional festivals included New Year’s Day, QingMing Festival, Dragon Boat Festival and Mid-Autumn Festival.

As this year’s Mid-Autumn Festival is on Sep 22rd, so close to the China’s National Day, makes this year’s golden week holiday more complicated! In these 4 weeks from September to October, the holiday arrangement is the most complicated that we have ever seen!

The State Council of thePeople’s Republic of China announced holiday arrangements for these 4 week. It is too hard to describe so I pick an Q pic from the Internet to show you these arrangements(2010涓鍥藉簡鏀惧亣瀹夋帓琛). The smiling face in that pink blocks means that is an holiday, and the blue blocks are the working day. Now you can see how complicated the holiday is~

Most of  governmental departments, schools and many companies in Nanning Guangxi, China will obey this holiday arrangement. So if you go to schools or some governmental departments, they may having their holiday. So pick a right time for a visit.
