Yestoday morning 2 new green bus were found by some citizens in a new electric charge station. These two new bus seens a little different. Yes, soon people been told that these 2 bus is not using gas! They are electric buses. So the electric bus eventrually come to Nanning China, it could be a beginning of a new electric age in Nanning China.

The new electric bus is made in Guilin Guangxi China, and the media said that each electric bus worths 2 million RMB. These two new bus was delivered to Nanning yestoday morning, and it will be put into its trial operation today, on Oct.18 2010. Now it belongs to Bus No.38, and the electric bus has air conditioner, so the price of one ride is 1.5RMB, 0.5RMB higher than the non-air conditioner bus.

This electric bus need to charge at night, so a new electric bus charge station is build, and it can charge 8 electirc vehicles at the same time. After been charged for 5 hours, the electric bus can run 250 kilometers.

I think it is a way to promote low-carbon life, when facing today’s oil shortages, it could be a new way to relief the pressure. And it says that there is a nuclear power plant is going to be build in Guangxi, making it possible to replace the oil vehicles with the electric power ones. Though it still has a long way to go, but this is a nice try, just like today the electri bycicles are replacing most of the old oil moto bikes in Nanning China.
