  6. Hi Bruce,
Great website. I lived in Nanning for just over three years from 1993 to 1996. I was a student Guangxi University for part of that time. I’ve been back to Nanning several times over the years. It is wonderful to see how the city has developed. Thank you for putting together such a great site to share information.

  7. Hi Bruce,

Good website with useful information for visitors to Nanning.

My wife and I had returned to Singapore last week after spending a month in Guangxi. We had visited Yizhou, Hechi, Bama, Nanning, Qinzhou, Beihai, Guilin. This is our 3rd trip. Our first trip of 7 days was some years back with a Singapore tour group. Our second trip of 1 month was in Nov 2009 where we spend most days in Guilin and Yangshuo and a few days visiting XingAn, Lipu, Hezhou and Liuzhou.

On this trip, we spent 11 days in Nanning. It is a lovely and we love taking public buses to various parts of the city. It is cheap and convenient. The most difficult part is finding help in getting to Yangmei Ancient Town. Most people I met including service people in Jinjiang Inn where I stayed, people in Chaoyang Square, main railway station and Beida Coach Station – all gave inaccurate information. We finally found the “parking lot” you called it but the bus journey was torturious.

Will be visiting Nanning again on our way to Yunnan from Hanoi in the near future. With information from your website, we will start the “land portion” of the trip from Hanoi.

Although I do not have a website, please feel free to email me anytime you wish to visit other parts of China or South East Asia which I had been to, for any information that you may need. You may also access my Facebook pages on which I have uploaded all my travel photos.

Thank you and keep up the good work in maintaining the website.

    Regards.
