October 16th 2010, 09:15 am, a World Half Marathon Championships will be held in Nanning, China. There will be more than 400 foreign  athletes, officers, judges and other media journalists come to this championship. Full race will be 21.0975 km.

Nannning Local police department will take strict security for this championship, there will be significant road closures and traffic restrictions. from 05:00 to 12:00, except those vehicles with special championship license, all the other vehicles are not allowed to enter or park on the racing track.

Organizing Committee recruit 1376 volunteers from many colledges. They will assist this championship by helping place decoration, etiquette, translation, medical support and so on. They are trained in these days and made a vow to do their best to serve the championship. To promote the citizen exercise idea, Nanning Sports Bureau also organize a 10 km race and a 4km healthy race for local people.  Estimate about 2000 contestants will join the Half Marathon race and more that 5000 contestants will join the 10km race and more than 8000 for 4km healthy rance.
